In both areas there are some excellent tree lined
pistes too, ideal for any bad weather days. Beginners
are well looked after here too with most gentle slopes
close to the village centres. Boarders will be spoilt
for choice with 4 board parks, 2 boarder cross and 2
half pipes.
On the town
Each centre has it's own atmosphere with Plagne
Centre offering the most variety and even a weekly
market. Welcoming bars and restaurants can be found in
each area, some with live music and the occasional
nightclub. A ‘must do' activity is the 1.5km drop, 19
bend, and 110kph speed of the Olympic Bob Sleigh run.

Pre-ski years
The Garderie ESF runs a
nursery and jardin de neiges in all villages for
babies from 18 month - 2 years. P'tits Bonnets
(04 79 09 00 83) in Plagne Centre takes babies
from 3 months.
Children's Ski
School. ESF and independent schools runs Junior Ski
School up up to 13 years. Book in advance for
high season |

The New Vanoise Express
cable car joins the vast La Plagne ski area with Les
Arcs, forming Paradiski with 420km of runs. Lift passes
can be bought for the week or by upgrades on a daily
basis. 6 Day La Plagne pass includes a day in nearby
resorts inclucing Tignes, Val d'Isere or the Three
Valleys
